This procedure known as brachioplasty aims to reduce the sagging skin or tissue. A number of reasons such as weight loss, genetics and normal aging process can cause the skin to lose its firmness and sag.  An arm lift will remove the excess sagging skin under the upper arm and tighten the skin to reveal a firmer shape.

Tis procedure is often combined with other body contouring operation such as bodyltift, thigh lift or liposuction. The skin of those patients has been subject to stretch during the excess of weight and elasticity has not returned to the normal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the incisions (scars) performed?
The incision will be placed in the backside of the arm since it is the less visible site. Scar length will vary depending on how much tissue is being removed.

Is liposuction possible?
In most patients with skin sagging, performing a liposuction without removing the excess skin will not solve the problem. However, the liposuction is almost always used, in combination with this procedure, to reduce the amount of fat before the excision of skin.

When can I see the result and return to exercising?
Result is immediate. It will improve after a month when swelling will decrease. Patients should avoid intense activity during a month’s time, for maximum healing.
