MOMMY MAKE-OVER

The Mommy Makeover is a customized set of surgical procedures, often combined with non-surgical treatments, designed to turn back the clock on the physical strain the patient’s body undergoes with childbearing.

DID YOU KNOW?

Depending on the desired outcome, the surgeon is able to restore the patient’s body back to its pre-pregnancy shape, or even go as further as enhancing it.
For example, in addition to targeting the typical areas which are the breasts and abdomen, the patient can choose to tackle the aging signs on her face or loose skin on her body.

Breast Lift and Body Sculpting being the two most common procedures of a Mommy Makeover, here are a range of additional treatments that can be performed alongside to achieve the best possible individual outcome:

Surgical

  • Breast Lift

  • Breast Augmentation

  • Breast Reduction

  • Tummy Tuck

  • Liposuction

  • Feminine Rejuvenation

  • Eyelid Lift (blepharoplasty)

Non-surgical

  • Skin tightening

  • Fat reduction

  • Cellulite reduction

  • Feminine rejuvenation

  • Botox and/or Fillers

  • Skin resurfacing

Depending on your desired goal, your surgeon will determine the optimal package suitable for you, keeping in mind your safety and physical limitations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I a valid candidate for a Mommy Makeover?
If you can associate yourself with the following points, you are most likely a valid candidate:

  • You are preferably done with conceiving children.

  • You have waited a good period of time to naturally recover from childbirth (about six months) and have stopped breastfeeding for a while.

  • You have exacerbated your efforts of diet and exercise and are left with body imperfections/disproportions, such as stubborn pockets of fat or saggy breasts to name a few.

What can I do to prepare for my transformation?
You can optimize your recovery by attaining a healthy body weight prior to your surgery. Part of that applies when adopting a balanced, nutritious diet and a minimum of thirty minutes of exercise daily ideally.

Will I be able to become pregnant in the future?
A ‘mommy makeover’ will not affect your ability to conceive a child in the future. However, if you do become pregnant, beware that some of the results attained will be spoiled. This is why it is strongly advised to undergo this procedure only when you have agreed so with your partner.

How long will the results last?
Provided you do not become pregnant post-surgery, or put on a lot of weight, your results should remain intact for a very long time. The natural course of aging might later interfere with your results; in which case you can consult your surgeon for recommendations. Keep a close relationship with your surgeon, to assist with any follow-up questions and concerns you may have to ensure optimum results.

What is the recovery period?
The recovery period of every ‘mommy makeover’ patient varies on the tailored series of procedures she underwent. In most cases, the full recovery period is equivalent to that of the most extensive surgery, which usually is the tummy-tuck. Healing can take up to six weeks, but the final outcome might take up to six months to fully come about. The swelling will come down, you will gradually heal internally and your incision scars will fade over time. It is important to follow the instructions provided by your surgeon carefully to ensure a safe and smooth recovery.
