NECK LIFT

Also known as “Lower Rhytidectomy” or “Platysmaplasty”, a neck lift helps reduce the loose skin in the neck area and right under the jawline. Patients often refer to this surgical procedure for rejuvenation purposes and to remove the neck banding effect (called “turkey neck”).

DID YOU KNOW?

The platysma muscle, which gives its name to this procedure, covers most of your neck line. It is the muscle responsible for the expressions of melancholy, horror or sadness.

Frequently Asked Questions

What will the scars of a neck lift look like?
In such a procedure, all of the incisions are carefully placed in strategically hidden areas and are not noticeable. Sutures are usually removed within five to seven days after the surgery.

How long do a neck lift’s results last?
If you follow your plastic surgeon’s advice attentively, a neck lift’s result should last for more than ten to fifteen years. This procedure, however, does not stop the aging process your skin cells are naturally destined to go through. Significant weight gain and loss could also affect your results on the long-term.
